Windows Plus

Windows Plus is a trusted window replacement and bathroom remodeling company based in Kentucky. Known for their quality work and customer service, they were looking to broaden their advertising reach by venturing into television, a new medium for them. However, with a limited budget, the challenge was to create impactful and professional commercials without exceeding their financial constraints.

The Challenge

Windows Plus needed creative content that could effectively highlight their expertise in both window replacement and bathroom remodeling. The goal was to produce high-quality commercials that featured genuine customer testimonials while keeping production costs manageable. The challenge was clear: deliver engaging content on a tight budget and a tight timeline.

Creative Strategy

Drawing on my experience in crafting cost-effective, high-impact creative, I developed a plan to maximize production value with a streamlined shooting strategy. The concept centered around authentic customer testimonials, which would serve to build trust and credibility with the audience. To keep the project within budget, we planned a one-day shoot in Kentucky, with a tight schedule and efficient use of resources.

Execution

As the creative director, I led the entire process from concept to creation. We assembled a small but effective crew and made the trip to Kentucky with a clear plan:

  1. Morning Split Crews: To maximize time, we divided the crew into two teams. One team focused on the window replacement side, capturing B-roll and conducting interviews with satisfied customers by noon. Meanwhile, the other team worked with the bathroom remodeling crew, capturing critical before-and-after footage, including the demolition process.
  2. Afternoon Convergence: By the afternoon, both teams regrouped to capture installation footage and additional testimonials, ensuring a cohesive narrative for both sets of commercials. Despite the tight schedule, the teams worked efficiently, gathering all the necessary footage within the day.
  3. Post-Production: Back at the studio, we meticulously edited the footage to create polished and engaging commercials that highlighted the quality and professionalism of Windows Plus. The commercials featured real customers sharing their positive experiences, reinforcing the company’s reputation for excellent service.

The strategic one-day shoot allowed us to stay within budget while still delivering high-quality creative that met the client’s objectives.
